Their fractured mind is hunted by cult leader Arthur Harrow, avatar of crocodile-goddess Ammit, who plans to pre-judge and execute the world’s sinners before they commit evil.

Racing from the streets of London to Cairo’s deserts, Steven/Marc must decode Egyptian star maps, battle supernatural jackals and survive a trial before the Ennead—nine quarrelsome gods who imprison Khonshu for meddling with the night sky.

Episode four yanks viewers into psychological horror as Marc is shot and awakens inside a white-walled psychiatric ward. Here, hippo-goddess Taweret steers his soul through the Duat (Egyptian underworld) aboard a sand-sea barge. The scales of justice demand Marc confront traumatic memories: a drowned brother, an abusive mother and the childhood creation of Steven as a coping mechanism.

With the scales unbalanced, Steven sacrifices himself to save Marc, turning to sand in the dunes. Marc chooses love over peace, rescues Steven, and both are resurrected when Khonshu regains freedom. In a kaiju-sized finale, Moon Knight and newly empowered Scarlet Scarab (Layla El-Faouly, Marc’s estranged archaeologist wife) duel Harrow amid the pyramids while Khonshu clashes with Ammit. They seal the goddess inside Harrow’s mortal form but refuse to execute him, demanding Khonshu release them from service.

The mid-credits sting reveals the truth: Khonshu still controls a hidden third alter, Spanish-speaking chauffeur Jake Lockley, who coldly guns down Harrow—hinting Moon Knight’s story is far from over34.
